Rahul, Priyanka attend wedding of Cong loyalist's son
The All India [ Images ] Congress Committee general secretary Rahul Gandhi [ Images ] and his sister Priyanka Vadra [ Images ] attended the marriage of the son of Sonia Gandhi's [ Images ] trusted personal assistant Madhavan.
The siblings arrived in Nedumbassery airport in a chartered flight and attended the marriage function in Thrissur and later left for Delhi [ Images ].
Madhavan's son, who is an employee of the MNC KPMG, was married to a local Kerala [ Images ] girl.
However, several senior Congress leaders were not invited for the function, which was a strict family affair.
A long time friend of Rahul and Priyanka, who is a former senior officer with the Indian Information Services and was with the duo at the wedding, told rediff.com that there were no leaders from Delhi.
A high-profile reception is arranged in Delhi that will be attended by the AICC president Sonia Gandhi and senior leaders from all political parties.
